Shape Builder

Our kindergarten class used Keynote to explore 2D and 3D shapes by becoming digital “shape builders.” Students learned how to combine and manipulate shapes to create real-world objects like houses, rockets, and animals using Keynote’s shapes and color fill tools. They practiced spatial reasoning, creativity, and design thinking while reinforcing math vocabulary. Some even added voiceovers to describe the shapes they used! This project connected math and creativity in an engaging, hands-on way that built confidence with digital tools.
