I have a BODY

K–2 students were learning about the human body, and I wanted to create an engaging review activity to check their understanding of the unit. Using Apple apps, I designed an interactive lesson that allowed students to creatively demonstrate their learning. They began by using the camera to take a picture of themselves and added their profile photo to a digital skeleton body. Next, they inserted shapes to represent different bones, recorded a short audio clip explaining why they like their body, and then added “skin” over the skeleton to complete their creation. To finish, students practiced writing the word skeleton using the drawing tools. This lesson combined creativity, technology, and content review in a way that helped students connect personally to their learning about the human body.
