Classroom App - showing Offline students

Hello

I am having trouble with the connection to Apple Classroom. Our classes are connected to PowerSchool with Claris Connect in ASM. We then have a connection from ASM to Jamf Pro. The users (both teacher and student) have the Roster and device on their Username in Jamf and all users are showing Offline when the teacher opens their classes. The students have Restrictions on their iPads (so Classroom connection is enforced). Any help, suggestions, or documentation would be most helpful.

Thank you

We frequently have students show as offline too. Here is the checklist of things I try one of them typically works.

  1. Is the iPad updated?
  2. Is Bluetooth On?
  3. Restart the device.
  4. Is everyone signed into a Managed Apple ID?
  5. If they are signed in, have them sign out and sign back in.

I hope one of these works for you!

Hi there! Our most common issues with learners not showing up are either their Bluetooth being off or the learner being on another network; most of the time this is usually due to them hot spotting to their phone. Every once in a while we have learner who have not updated or updated to a newer iOS and that have messed with their ability to connect to Classroom. Below I've also added the support website that has some additional resources. Hope this helps!
